The word “consultant” often has a negative connotation. However, our consultants in The Steadfast Group are currently serving or have recently served on church staff, so we are intimately knowledgeable of the dynamics of leading and serving on the staff of a local church. Our Lead Consultant has over 30 years of staff experience, serving both small and large staffs.
The consulting experience through The Steadfast Group uses a proven model, yet is customized to your specific needs and situation. Consultancy with The Steadfast Group pledges to offer four core benefits we call the C.A.R.E. System:
The Steadfast Group uses specific exercises and practices, including specialized testing instruments and analysis that will help your staff more accurately communicate with one another, as well as with the church leaders with whom they serve. You and your staff will gain an understanding of how we communicate, including offering information and receiving information.
We propose three circular and parallel levels of accountability inside the staff consultancy process: Consultant to staff leadership and back; Consultant to full staff and back; and Consultant to church leadership and back. We offer and expect complete honesty at all times, yet maintain the strictest confidentiality within each level.
Throughout the process, we commit to maintain and develop a professional relationship with all the parties involved. We also hope to maintain those relationships even after the consultancy is over. We believe that every client can benefit from the long-term relationships we seek to establish with each client.
It is always our hope that the consultancy experience is positive and healthy. We have seen, however, unhealthy staff situations that make church life tense and uncomfortable. We pledge to be honest and thorough without overextending our preferences. Our recommendations will go to the designated leaders for them to use as they choose. In every case, we work to make this a beneficial experience for the church and her staff.
